Why is it SO HARD to communicate?

Why is there such a big gap between thoughts and speaking? Everything makes sense in my head, but when I say it, I feel stupid. immature. nagging. 

What am I supposed to do?

Leggings...

What is the purpose of leggings if

a.) They don't keep you warm AT ALL

b.) They don't make my booty look NEARLY as enticing as that ad.

and

c.) They're slightly tacky....

I need an answer or these bad boys have a date with the garbage.
